There is perhaps no passion purer among Indonesians than our collective love for Indomie. The country’s instant noodle brand is so iconic that it’s even become a fashion symbol, adorning hipster-friendly shirts, hats, bags and now, that most coveted of collectible footwear, Nike Air Jordan sneakers.

Unfortunately, you won’t be able to find these Indomie x Air Jordans at any shoe store in Indonesia or anywhere else. They are the creation of Mr. Simply Custom, a sneaker artisan that, according to his Instagram account, is based in Singapore / Indonesia.

The kicks, officially dubbed the Jordan 1 Indomie Custom, feature the iconic Indomie Mie Goreng color scheme of red, green, white and yellow, along with the brand’s logo and the words “Micin Generation”. Micin stands for monosodium glutamate aka MSG aka the thing that makes Indomie (and a whole bunch of other foods) magically delicious.

Although you won’t find them in stores, Mr. Simply Custom announced this morning that he’s decided to do a limited production run of 20 pairs for those with an insatiable desire to add the Indomie kicks to their sneaker collection.
