Kuta road flows change again after mounting complaints

After negative feedback from the public, police have changed up the directional flow of one of Kuta’s major roads for yet another time.

While it was announced in January that the month of February would be a test run for a new traffic flow system, with many two-way roads becoming one-way roads, Bali Traffic Police are making adjustments mid-way through.

Chief of Bali Police’s Traffic Unit, Commissioner Anak Agung Made Sudana says the flow on Jl. Kartika Plaza towards Jl. Singosari will be restored to how it was pre-trial because of mounting public complaints. The road had been made into a one-way, flowing south to north for the trial.

“Yes, it’s true, because there’s been input from the public and people using the road in the area,” Sudana told Tribun Bali on Tuesday, confirming the change.

Changes to Jl. Kartiza Plaza took effect on Feb. 15, but the rest of the trial system persists until the end of the month, says Sudana.
