Motorists can expect heavy traffic heading at the Woodlands and Tuas checkpoints ahead of the Hari Raya Aidilfitri holidays next week.
Bernama quotes a statement by Singapore’s Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) as saying that traffic would likely be particularly heavy on July 5 and 6.
“Security at our checkpoints remains ICA’s top priority against any potential threats to Singapore,” the statement said.
“With security checks, traffic build-up is inevitable, especially when a large number of travellers use the checkpoints at the same time.”
The ICA advised motorists to plan their travels in order to avoid a survey of vehicles at the checkpoints.
