We believe in the freedom to vibe hard, especially in these days of TikTok. Remember to exercise a little caution, however, and heed this tale about how a trio of young men found themselves in a precarious situation due to their impassioned dancing.
A screen recording of stories from Instagram user @mahasalexa has been circulating widely since yesterday, showing two men sitting on the front seats of the car dancing, while another was filming from the backseat.

Anyone who’s been on Indonesian TikTok these days may recognize their dance moves and the remixed dangdut songs blasting from the car audio system, and despite driving through narrow streets in what looks like a residential area, they danced with such vigor that the person driving the car even went so far as to lift both his hands from the wheel in keeping up with some of the moves.
Cut toward the end of the video, and we can see half of their car submerged in a reservoir. The reel also showed the three youngsters looking forlorn after they managed to get out of the car, before the camera panned to some curious local residents viewing the incident from up close.
“Please let this be a lesson to all of us, don’t dance too passionately,” the writing at the end of the video reads.
In his recent story posts on Instagram, @mahasalexa said that the incident occurred yesterday morning. He told his 112,000 followers that they didn’t submerge completely due to a log that managed to hold the car at the edge of the pond. From a board lodged near the pond, it appears that the trio was driving through a village in Karawang regency, West Java.
It appears that the car has been recovered and that no one was hurt in the incident.
Let this be a lesson to put our safety first whenever and wherever, no matter how catchy a TikTok remix may be.
