At long last, Instagram users can express themselves through songs or share those catchy lyrics with their followers, as Instagram Music finally arrives in Indonesia today.
The photo-video sharing platform’s Music feature was first introduced back in mid-2018, but it wasn’t available in Indonesia until now, as Instagram hadn’t obtained the music license for the country.
This feature can be used for Instagram Stories or Reels, the platform’s answer to TikTok, though only a few select users are currently able to enjoy the latter as it’s being rolled out gradually. Reels can be shared publicly or privately through your feed, Instagram Stories, or direct message (DM).
You can add music into your Stories just like how you would GIFs or stickers, then choose any of the songs from the “For You” or “Browse” tabs — either that or write the name of the artist or the song title in the search bar.
After selecting the song, drag to your desired part and change the lyrics appearance as you like — or you can simply opt for the song cover to be put somewhere in your story.
No more screenshotting tweets for Instagram
Speaking of new features, with plenty of Instagram accounts dedicated to only posting screenshots of funny or viral tweets nowadays, Twitter is now making it easier for you to share those directly to Instagram Stories.
This goes to show that what happens on Twitter usually leads to widespread conversation on the internet, and now you don’t even have to take a screenshot first.

For the time being, however, the feature can only be accessed by iOS users.
