While pretty much all Indonesian airlines have had issues with punctuality (one even made a list of the 10 least punctual airlines in the world recently), it’s still wise to know which airlines you can trust more than others when it comes to planning your next trip.

Today, the Transportation Ministry’s Air Travel Directorate General released a report on Indonesian airlines’ punctuality for 2017. The airlines were ranked based on their On Time Performance (OTP) scores, which, as you probably guessed, is the percentage of flights that departed/arrived on schedule.

For 2017, little NAM Air, a feeder airline for low-cost carrier Sriwijaya Air, took the top spot with an OTP of 92.62% from 29,832 flights. Sriwijaya came in second with an OTP of 88.69%, while Batik Air (Lion Air’s more reliable and comfortable cousin) came in a close third with 88.66%.

Indonesia’s flagship airline, Garuda Indonesia, lost its most punctual crown from the previous year as it only came in fourth this year with a score of 88.54%, followed by its low-cost subsidiary Citilink with 88.33%.

“Their OTPs were high and fulfilled their collective minimum punctuality targets. But Garuda Indonesia, which had long been the winner at OTP, was removed from the top spot because of its prolonged issues with crew scheduling,” said Agus Santoso, Air Travel Director General at the Transportation Ministry, as quoted by CNN Indonesia today.

Of the 14 airlines included in the government’s ranking, Trigana Air came last with an OTP of 42.49%. Other notable airlines include Indonesia AirAsia X (77.42%), Indonesia AirAsia (75.94%) and Lion Air (71.32%).
