A man and a woman may be headed for spells in prison after the police arrested them for allegedly having oral sex at a bus stop in Central Jakarta.
On Friday, a video went viral showing the pair performing the illegal act at a bus stop on Jalan Kramat Raya in Senen, Central Jakarta. The video was taken by somebody who was driving past that evening, who rebuked the pair and told them to get a room.
The pair, with the man positioned standing in front of the sitting woman, initially ignored the several passersby who witnessed the public display of super intimate affection. They eventually fled the location after they were approached by several angry motorcycle taxi drivers.
Senen Police this morning said they have identified and arrested the pair. The police say they will release more information about the case soon.
Under Indonesian law, performing an act of indecency in public is punishable by up to two years and eight months in prison.
