Indonesia flag carrier Garuda Airlines has had it rough in recent years, with heavy financial turbulence a likely cause of its slip from this year’s Skytrax’s 10 best airlines list. But it looks like the airline has managed to maintain high standards of punctuality throughout that turbulence, as evidenced by its place atop a recently released ranking of the airlines with the best on-time performance.

UK-based aviation data analyst OAG recently released its annual airline punctuality rankings for 2019, based on data from 200 of the world’s biggest airlines from June 2018 to May 2019. OAG awards star ratings of one to five to airlines based on their On-Time Performance (OTP) —  defined as a flight that arrives or departs no later than 15 minutes from its scheduled time — and Garuda topped the list of 5-star airlines with an impressive 91.6% OTP performance out of 16,408 operations.

The only other Indonesian airline on the list, Indonesia AirAsia, only managed a 77.4% OTP rating. Lion Air, the country’s largest private airline (which is notorious for its flights’ frequent delays), was not included in the rankings.

At the bottom of the ranking was The Philippines’ Cebu Pacific Air, which had a one-star OTP score of 56%, meaning just over half its flights were actually on time.
