More gun-related violence took place today in Depok, where an armed gang robbed a gas station in broad daylight on Jalan Raya Cipayung.
The thieves managed to make off with Rp 185 million in cash after they shot Endang, a 34-year-old gas station employee, right in the eye.
Depok Police public relations officer Ipda Bagus Suwardi said the incident was first reported by a witness, Mat Soleh, who thought the sound of gunfire was just a burst tire, until he saw Endang.
“He saw someone who was lying covered in blood as a result of being shot. The witness and other residents then rushed him to the hospital,” said Bagus, as quoted by Vivanews.
The cold-blooded gang of thieves managed to escape with the aforementioned Rp 185 million.
