Dozens of factory workers “possessed” after one worker died during company retreat in Pelabuhan Ratu

Company retreats are super fun, especially when it’s held in coastal towns like, say, Hua Hin in Thailand or Pelabuhan Ratu south of Jakarta.

But for factory workers at PT Bintang Indah Garment in Bekasi, their weekend getaway in Pelabuhan Ratu turned into a supernatural nightmare when they returned to work this morning.

Around 30 factory workers were reportedly possessed this morning, as they suddenly started screaming hysterically and lost control over their own bodies.

Curiously, only one worker would appear to be possessed at a given time.

“When one [who was possessed] came to, another one would get possessed,” said Bekasi Police Spokesperson First Inspector Puji Astuti, as quoted by Tempo today.

Believers in supernatural phenomena will need no other clue as to what caused the possessions, as it was reported that one female factory worker named Nia died during the retreat after she drowned while swimming in the sea (maybe Nyi Roro Kidul AKA the Queen of the South Sea was responsible here).

Most of the workers who were possessed this morning are women.

The factory sent home all of its 700 workers early today in light of this spooky incident.
