Videos of a mob of motorcyclists chasing a small hatchback in the West Java capital city of Bandung went viral yesterday, culminating in a clip of the car driver almost becoming the victim of mob violence.
According to reports, the 21-year-old driver of the Honda Brio hatchback, identified by his initials AMG, had committed a hit-and-run, which prompted a mob of motorcyclists to dangerously chase after his car yesterday afternoon.

According to the police, AMG committed several hit-and-runs during his attempted escape from the mob.
“So the culprit initially hit a motorcyclist on Turangga Street, and then he drove away and knocked over four more motorcyclists in four different locations until he was stopped on Tamblong Street,” said AKBP Mariyono, head of the Traffic Unit at the Bandung City Police, as quoted by Tribun yesterday.
AMG is now in police custody, though it’s not yet known what charges he could face. The police also didn’t give any information on whether or not anyone was injured during AMG’s hit-and-run.
