6.7-magnitude quake off Banten coast felt in Jakarta

Jakartans reported feeling the tremors of a 6.7-magnitude earthquake centered off the coast of Banten this afternoon.

The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) reported that the quake struck 52 kilometers south-west of Sumur District in Banten Province. 

No tsunami warning has been issued.

There have been no immediate reports of major damages or casualties in Banten and the Greater Jakarta Area, where people have been reporting being shaken by the earthquake.
