There’s a feast for K-pop fans tonight, as some of its biggest acts are set to perform at Tokopedia’s major online shopping event, WIB Indonesia K-Pop Awards.
Titled Waktu Indonesia Belanja (Indonesia Shopping Time, with the title being a play on Western Indonesia Time or WIB, as it is abbreviated locally), the event promotes the e-commerce giant’s monthly promo. The event will air simultaneously on RCTI and SCTV, while also live streamed on Tokopedia’s app through its streaming platform, Tokopedia PLAY, and its YouTube channel from 7pm-9pm.
Up-and-coming and established K-pop groups (10 of them, to be exact) are slated to perform at this event, including Tokopedia’s brand ambassadors BTS and BLACKPINK (yes, we’re aware Lisa just contracted COVID-19, but these performances are often pre-recorded), as well as Aespa, NCT Dream, TWICE, The Boyz, Stray Kids, ITZY, Treasure, and Secret Number. All of them have previously performed at Tokopedia’s WIB events since last year.
