It’s always nice to see people not growing out of fandom after starting a family just like this dad, whose photos have gone viral showing him adorably geeking out over his favorite superhero Spider-Man with his two young sons.

While waiting for the post-credits scene for Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, the latest (and possibly the best) film installment of the web slinging hero, Twitter user Arief Rakhmadani noticed a family who wore Spider-Man costumes to the cinema and took photos of them before posting them online.

“I watched Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. While waiting for the post-credits scene, I saw a family who wore Spider-Man costumes. The dad was sporting the Air Jordan 1,” Arief wrote.

The sneakers he mentioned in the tweet were possibly Nike Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “Origin Story”, which pays homage to the computer-animated film and bears a resemblance to the pair worn by Miles Morales, the teenage Spider-Man who is at the center of the film’s story.

Deasy Santi, the mom in the family, later replied to Arief’s tweet with a clearer picture of her husband, whose name remains unknown, and their two sons.

The tweet went viral with over 14,000 retweets at the time of writing. Some netizens said that the Spider-Fam represented “family goals”

“I want to find a husband just like him, a cool daddy type”

Sony Pictures Indonesia, the local branch of the film studio, joined other netizens to praise the Spider-Fam.

As seen on Deasy’s Instagram, it appears wearing superhero costumes at the movies may turn into a family tradition for them, having first documented her husband and kids dressing up as Spider-Man during a screening of Avengers: Infinity War earlier this year:

With numerous Marvel films coming out next year, hopefully we’ll see more of the Spider-Dad and Spider-Sons in their costumes.
