Senior Indonesian singer Dina Mariana found after reported missing

Dina Mariana, a ‘70s and ‘80s era singer and actor, has been found after she was reported missing last night.

Dina, who’s 56 years old, was waiting for her husband to come pick her up after performing at a cafe in Menteng, Central Jakarta where she was reportedly hypnotized and kidnapped by an unknown assailant.

“[The case] has been followed up by the Menteng sub-precinct, after conducting a search. After being traced, the person concerned was at her relatives’ house in Kelapa Gading,” Central Jakarta Police’s spokesman Sam Suharto said today.

Dina’s husband Radian Ratulangi apologized for the fuss on social media regarding her reported disappearance, with a screenshot of his message posted by singer/lawyer Kadri Mohammad in an Instagram post.

“To friends of Dina and myself, I apologize for the viral news of Dina’s disappearance,” Radian wrote.

According to Radian, Dina was attending the birthday celebration of her friend, fellow singer and actor Sandro Tobing. She was uncontactable from 8pm to 9am the next day, which caused concerns for her family and friends and prompted them to file a missing persons report at the Menteng sub-precinct.

Radian said that Dina is “safe physically and mentally.”
