Try the ultimate rendang pizza combo at this Goods Dept collection launch pop-up in Kemang (Friday)
We’re usually pretty wary of fusion foods like rendang pizza. I mean, what are the odds that anybody could get both the pizza and the rendang right? Well there are few restaurants in Jakarta we’d trust more for rendang than Padang chain powerhouse Sederhana, and Pizza Place in Kemang is, in many people’s opinion, the best place for real NYC style ‘za in all of Jakarta. The two cult fave F&B outlets are joining forces for a one-night only pop-up event at the Goods Dept store in Lippo Mall Kemang to celebrate the launch of a new line of swanky Sederhana-themed clothing that’s part of the Good Dept’s partnership with Tokopedia to sartorialize more local brands. If anybody can make rendang pizza that lives up to its potential, it’ll happen here.

Witness art through the eyes of a refugee
As you’re hopefully aware, Indonesia has a refugee crisis on its hands with many people who fled violence in their homelands now stuck in this country without the rights to work or get an education. But they can still express themselves through art, which is just what many did for this special exhibition at Galeri Nasional, produced in cooperation with the UNHCR and numerous refugee care organizations. Exhibition runs until September 27.
