The return of the Djakarta Warehouse Project (DWP) to the capital is inching closer, and it promises to be a great festival if the recent announcement of acts is anything to go by.

DWP, one of the biggest dance and electronic music festivals in Asia, will be held on December 13-15 at JIExpo Kemayoran in Central Jakarta after the festival moved to Bali to mark its 10th anniversary last year.

The 2019 lineup already boasted the genre’s heavyweights when festival promoter Ismaya Live announced their first phase of headliners, such as Scottish DJ Calvin Harris and Dutch DJ Martin Garrix. Yesterday, Ismaya Live announced the second phase of DWP’s lineup, which features even more huge names in the genre.

First up is English electronic music duo Disclosure, one of the most exciting acts of the past decade. Consisting of brothers Howard and Guy Lawrence, they shot to fame in 2012 with hit single Latch featuring singer Sam Smith, as well as their debut studio album Settle in 2013 with a follow-up in 2015, Caracal. With numerous hits across two albums and remixes, their mesmerising live show is certainly not to be missed.

Next, we have Chromeo, the Canadian electro-funk duo from Montreal that has released five studio albums. Formed in 2002 by David “Dave 1” Macklovitch and Patrick “P-Thugg” Gemayel, they will bring their synth-funk sound to the DWP stage.

Dutch electronic DJ and producer duos Bassjackers and Blasterjaxx, as well as Belgian hardstyle producer and DJ Coone will be hyping the crowd up with their amped-up EDM performances.

That’s not all, because Barong Family — the label founded by Dutch DJ duo and DWP returnees Yellow Claw — will be hosting a stage this year. German-American Trance DJ Markus Schulz is set to return behind the DWP decks, after having previously performed at the festival back in 2012.

Other DJs and musicians in the lineup come from a diverse array of genres, including Devarra, Marc Maya, Softest Hard, w.W, Yung Bae, and Generik, Calvin Harris’ fellow Las Vegas residency DJ.

You may need to hurry if you want to buy specially priced early bird tickets as they are likely to run out fast. Tickets for 1-day, 3-day, VIP Gold, group package, travel package (for festival-goers from outside Jakarta or Indonesia) as well as VVIP Sofa are available on DWP’s official website and offline at several Ismaya restaurants. International festival-goers may get their tickets via online ticketing platforms such as Festground, Ticketek, Festicket, and iFlyer.

Currently, the prices (before 25% tax) start at IDR1.5 million (US$106.89) for 3-day early admission passes (which require ticket holders to arrive at the venue before 7pm) and go up to a package of 3-day VIP Gold tickets plus 3-night stays at Grand Mercure Jakarta Kemayoran priced at IDR16.2 million (US$1.154) for two people.
