Celebrate Indonesia’s Independence Day with a patriotic pizza dinner, as popular pizza chain Pizza Hut has just launched a limited red-and-white pizza resembling the country’s flag.

The rectangular pizza comes in two different toppings: the red upper half consists of beef sausage, burger patty chunks, and beef bits with mozzarella cheese, while the white lower half comprises white cheese sauce, white mozzarella cheese, and parmesan cheese.
The pizza is all the more cheesier due to its crispy caramelized cheese, which runs along the edges a la Detroit-style pizza — which is definitely a treat if you’re looking to get cheesed out.
A box of the Pizza Merah-Putih is priced at IDR119,000 (US$8.31) as seen on food delivery apps, and you can order it through takeaway or delivery throughout the month of August.
The limited edition pizza follows a common trend among F&B businesses in Indonesia, especially fast food chains, which regularly launch special menus to celebrate the country’s independence day on Aug. 17.
