Sweet news: Dulcet Patisserie, which has become one of Jakarta’s most renowned cake makers since they began selling their baked treats and other sweets online in 2011, has finally opened their first physical store today.
The store is located on the mezzanine floor of The Energy Building, an office building in the busy SCBD area. There, you can find several of Dulcet Patisserie’s best-selling cakes, such as the Belated Birthday Cake, Boston Cream Cake, Milk Crumble Cake, Pandan Caramel Cake, and Regal & Joe Cake.
You can purchase cakes by the slice at the new shop, as well as donuts and drinks such as Iced Coffee Milk and Iced Chocolate. The prices are pretty affordable too, with menu items ranging from IDR13,000 (US$0.9) for the Ube Donut Gula to IDR50,000 (US$3.5) for the Regal & Joe Cake. During the first week of its official launch (that’s this week), the shop is giving its customers 20% off of all cakes, too.
The store doesn’t accept orders for whole cakes, but they are available through the Dulcet Patisserie website.
Dulcet Patisserie was founded by sisters Karina Mecca and Keshia Deisra in 2011, who began it as a humble home business. When they started the business, Keshia had just graduated from high school and Karina had just started her first year in university. Today, Dulcet Patisserie offers numerous low-fat and less sugar cakes, pastries, and pies, all made with premium ingredients.
