Many F&B establishments offer special or limited edition dishes as we approach the end of the year, and as we get closer to the end of 2021, donut chain Krispy Kreme has joined the festivities with the launch of Chocolate Glazed Doughnuts.
It’s basically Krispy Kreme’s signature Original Glazed donuts — though the glaze is mixed with unsweetened cocoa powder, which covers the chocolate-flavored donuts. Krispy Kreme says this is the first of its kind in Indonesia.
Coconuts got to try the Chocolate Glazed Doughnuts courtesy of Krispy Kreme today, and while we’ve always been fans of the OG, the chocolate version did offer a wonderful, cocoa-heightened experience.
A dozen pack of the Chocolate Glazed Doughnuts costs DR108,000 (US$7.48), and it will only be available on weekdays until Jan, 1, 2022 at all Krispy Kreme outlets throughout Jakarta, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi, both for dine-in and takeaway.
It’s worth noting that the special edition donuts are not available for purchase through online food delivery apps, which means the lazybones among us are going to have to make the trip to actually try it.
