@garagarakarantina, which literally translates to “because of quarantine,” is an Instagram page solely dedicated to documenting the many up-and-coming F&B businesses that have turned up in the Greater Jakarta Area since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. The account was created around mid-May, and has been slowly gaining an audience as well as partnership interests ever since.
We were particularly drawn to its Instagram bio, “Let’s not ‘make the most’ out of this time. Let’s just order some from those who have,” which we thought perfectly encapsulates the need to support small businesses at this uncertain time.
@garagarakarantina appears to take great care in keeping its feed tidy through meticulously designed content — one brand gets a row of three posts each, which consist of its logo and patterns of its signature item.
