Jakartans have been able to enjoy Monsieur Spoon’s flaky, buttery pastries since they opened their first outlet in the capital city a couple of months ago, but if their North Jakarta location is a little out of your way, then you might be pleased to know that they’re opening another store in South Jakarta at Kota Kasablanka Mall (Kokas) this month.

The French bakery will join the mall’s dining area called Food Society, which is located on the ground floor.

With an opening date slated for Oct. 28 (that’s Thursday next week), it won’t be too long until you can get your hands on Monsieur Spoon’s pastries, cakes, and artisan breads, including its Jakarta’s exclusive offerings, the Croissandwiches — which, as you can guess from its name, is a selection of savory croissant sandwiches.

Originally from Bali, Monsieur Spoon’s first Jakarta café is located at hangout complex Urban Farm on PIK’s Golf Island. The outlet offers the usual brunch fares to heavier meals, which we expect would also be available at the Kota Kasablanka branch.

More details on the upcoming Monsieur Spoon café, as well as an ongoing giveaway, can be found here.
