Those who live in South Jakarta and have yet to try Monsieur Spoon’s pastries, your wish to not having to venture very far for it has finally been granted as the French bakery has opened its third café at Pondok Indah Mall’s Street Gallery.
The PIM location, which was opened a little over a week ago, has indoor, outdoor, and semi-outdoor areas as well as a VIP room, and promises a “romantic and cozy Parisian vibe” through its modern Parisian-style interior with floral wallpaper and accents of blue similar with that of Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK) and Kota Kasablanka (Kokas) cafés — which you can see below:
Aside from their pastries, cakes and artisan breads — as well as the Croissandwiches — you can try Monsieur Spoon’s newest offerings for the Jakarta restaurants including the Slow-cooked Duck Confit (IDR130,000), Chicken with Forty Cloves of Garlic (IDR120,000), Boeuf en Croute or Beef Wellington (IDR240,000), Truffle Egg in Jar (IDR45,000), and the Croger or the Croissant Burger.
As for the Croger, it’s a bit different from the Croissandwiches as it uses Kouign Amann instead of the usual Croissant — so that it’s shaped like the usual burger. Prices for the dish are IDR65,000 for the Tamago Katsu Mortadella, IDR78,000 for Pulled Brisket & Egg, IDR84,000 for the Wagyu Signature, and IDR92,000 for Wagyu Premium, to name a few. All prices are before tax and service charge.
Originally from Bali, Monsieur Spoon’s first Jakarta café is located at hangout complex Urban Farm on PIK’s Golf Island with the second café at Kota Kasablanka opened a few months later last year.
