WATCH: Amazing bird’s eye-view of Galungan holiday in Bali

One of the most beautiful times of the year in Bali is the Hindu holiday Galungan, when the island is covered in offerings, long penjor bamboo poles line the streets, and Balinese put on their finest to go to temple.

Turns out, the island looks just as amazing—if not more—during this time from overhead.

A video put together by the Bali Drone Community shows us scenes from the beach to the street to the temple, with long processional lines of Balinese marking the twice-yearly holiday that celebrates the triumph of good (dharma) over evil (adharma).

Based on the Balinese Hindu Saka calendar, Galungan falls every 210 days. This time is on Sept. 7, while the last one was on Feb. 10 earlier this year and the next one is April 5, 2017.

The feast holiday lasts ten days and is closed out by Kuningan, the day where the Balinese believe their ancestors who were visiting earth for Galungan must go back to heaven.
