A panty thief has apparently been terrorizing the Gianyar community for the past couple of weeks.
Police finally made their arrest of the suspected ‘dirty’ thief on Wednesday in Ubud.
Nineteen-year-old I Wayan W was reportedly arrested in Peliatan Village, Ubud after stealing knickers from a boardinghouse owned by I Made Sueta, 70.
Police say they seized three pairs of panties from the suspected perp, who is apparently still a student.
Ubud Police Commissioner Nyoman Wirajaya says police are still questioning their suspect to get behind his motive.
“We are still investigating what caused the perpetrator to commit these crimes. Hopefully it’s only panties that he stole, though that’s still against the law,” Tribun Bali quoted Wirajaya as saying.
