Big waves have been rolling into Bali’s southern beaches with “monster” high tides, signaling the arrival of some serious swell.
Anyone else getting some serious flashbacks to the king tides in 2016? Or in more recent memory, how about the massive waves at Angel’s Billabong last week?
The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) issued an alert on Wednesday warning of waves up to six meters in Bali’s southern waters.
And with the big waves and high tides have come plenty of videos and photos on the net, documenting the intensity.
Water traffic for boats making crossings via Sanur has been suspended for the time being, Sanur harbormaster Warsita told Tribun Bali on Wednesday.
In Padang Galak, Sanur, water reportedly ripped through food stalls, or warungs and even flooded the main road.
