This morning, some parts of Bali’s Badung regency woke up to houses submerged in flood and streets turning into streams following some heavy rain last night, scenes from which are making the rounds on social media.
In several viral videos, some residents can be seen draining flooded rooms while others decided to play around in the “instant” pool with their surfboards. Most reports on social media seem to be coming from Berawa, Canggu, Pererenan, and Kerobokan.

The heavy downpour also reportedly pushed cars out into nearby rivers, while pieces of furniture were submerged in many accommodations in the affected areas.

Officials have yet to report the extent of damage from today’s floods at the time of publication.
With the rainy season still underway, it’s probably as good a time as any to remind everyone to be careful. Stay dry if you can, folks.
