If you’re scheduled to fly in or out of Bali on Saturday evening (March 4), you will very likely experience some delays as the king of Saudi Arabia and his entourage make their arrival.

The latest estimate about the king’s travel plans predicts that he should be getting in to Bali around 7:30 pm, local time.

Bali’s Ngurah Rai Airport has previously stated that the airport will shut down for an estimated period of 45 minutes to make way for King Salman, but now the airport has apparently extended that approximation to two hours.

“Flights starting from 6:30 pm until 8:30 pm will be affected by delays to the arrival of King Salman’s VVIP flights,” Ngurah Rai Airport Spokesman Arie Ahsan told Tribun Bali on Thursday.

“There will be delays for arrivals and departures” during that time period, Ahsan explained.

Bali Police will be supplying the third level of security deploying about 1,000 personnel to secure the king and his entourage. The first two levels will be personnel from the Indonesian Secret Service and the military.

The king is planning to spend time “relaxing” in Bali from March 4 to 9. He is currently in Jakarta as part of the Indonesian leg of his Asian tour.
