Saudi Arabia’s King Salman is going to shut the place down when he comes to Bali. Literally.
Bali’s Ngurah Rai Airport will close for an estimated 45 minutes for the king’s arrival on March 4, reports say.
A notice to airmen (NOTAM) has been issued for his arrival in accordance to state protocol for VVIP guests, Transportation Minister Budi Karya Sumadi said in a statement on Thursday.
The king is coming to Bali during his Asian tour and is scheduled to vacation here from March 4 to 9. He will stop in Jakarta first though and is going to be bringing an entourage of 1,500 people strong, including 10 ministers and 25 princes.
Coming with a caravan of planes, the king will be provided with special parking at the Air Force base, according Ngurah Rai International Airport spokesman Awaluddin.
