Police in Bali are searching for a man who was caught on CCTV camera taking pictures up a woman’s skirt at a convenience store in Canggu area.
In a clip that went viral on Instagram yesterday after it was shared by several community accounts, a man wearing a green vest – typically worn by Indonesian rideshare drivers as uniform – is seen following a woman who is donning a white top and a traditional skirt (locally known as kebaya) at a store in Berawa, North Kuta.
While Berawa is part of Tibubeneng Village, it is often colloquially considered part of Canggu.
The woman, who is seen with her child, was standing in front of the store’s beverage refrigerator when the man kneels at a food shelf next to her and swiftly takes upskirt shots of her.
The woman notices the creep and reacts – but the perp immediately fled the scene.
Bali Police spokesman Satake Bayu said his department would look into the matter and collect information from the victim.
“We will investigate the case,” he said.
