Kuta Beach will be crawling with police tomorrow during reconstruction of murdered officer

If you were thinking of spending some relaxing vacay time on Kuta Beach tomorrow, think again.

The place is going to be thick with security on Wednesday during the crime scene reconstruction of the murder of Wayan Sudarsa, the Bali police officer found dead two weeks ago on the beach.

However, traffic will not be blocked off, police say.

The two foreigners named as suspects in the case, Australian woman Sara Connor and British man David Taylor will be brought to the beach, where police will confront their stories.

“After the reconstruction, the two suspects’ testimonies will be confronted,” Denpasar Police Chief Hadi Purnomo told Tribun Bali on Tuesday.

Purnomo explained that this “confrontation” will happen because there are still small inconsistencies between the two suspects’ stories. But such discrepancies are very minor, the police chief clarified.
