Drug testing conducted at Bali karaoke joint, officers catch man cutting his sample with water

A man was caught flushing out his urine sample with water during a drug test at a Gianyar karaoke bar.

Officers from the Bali branch of the National Narcotics Agency (BNN) raided the karaoke joint, looking for drug users.

Head of BNN Bali Superintendent Ketut Arta said officers found a guest, MC, trying to alter his results.

“Yes, he was mixing his urine with water. Because he was afraid she made an effort not to get caught,” Arta said on Sunday, as quoted by Tribun Bali.

Even with water mixed in, the science doesn’t lie, says Arta.

“But we know if urine is mixed with water. Because our drug test kits are sensitive enough to (pick up on that) and will certainly catch it,” he added.

When it was all said and done, MC was found out to have been using meth and ecstasy, according to Arta.
