Indonesians have been known to account for a major proportion of JAV (Japanese adult video) viewership.
People went wild back in 2016 when Japanese porn superstar Miyabi came to Bali on holiday.
While there’s no doubt that a number of Indonesian men turn to JAV to get turned on, Indonesian women have apparently been making names for themselves in the Japanese porn industry as well, with one Balinese woman taking the spotlight, cast in a Japanese “porno” of the softer variety.
The woman, who starred under the stage name “Luna,” has become the subject of a report by an Indonesian newspaper that has been on a JAV-spree lately, identifying Indonesian women involved in Japanese porn.
Starring in her supposed debut role Tropical H Cup under the Tokyo-based production label Spice Visual, the Balinese woman does pose naked and engages in some foreplay with a Japanese man onscreen, but she does not have sex in the film, newspaper Tribun Bali writes. Porn is illegal in Indonesia so we’ve given Tropical H Cup a hard pass ourselves.
Spicing things up in a sex-less way in the soft-core production, there’s also said to be a bathtub scene where Luna is in some tiny pink underwear in the 70-minute video that came out on May 26.
“Starring in a porn without a sex scene could earn you a maximum of JPY400k (US$3,690), maybe she got JPY150,000 (US$1,383),” speculates an unidentified source, quoted by Tribun Bali.
“If they took Luna to Japan for filming, maybe the net revenue was less, because they would have had to buy her airline tickets and hotels,” the source said on Thursday.
So what could possibly be the draw of Tropical H Cup?
“The big boobs, H-cup size, probably drew in the attention of the producers. With her Asian face, but Balinese characteristics, her beauty is different from Japanese.”
