It’s probably fair to say that many Indonesian men are obsessed with Japanese porn — pixelated genitals withstanding — so much so that there was an entire Indonesian movie based on kidnapping JAV (Japanese adult video) mega star Maria Ozawa AKA Miyabi. More recently, JAV actress Hitomi Tanaka revealing that the three cities in which she had the biggest number of Instagram followers are all Indonesian (including Jakarta).
But it looks like Indonesia might soon have a new fan favorite. Sailor Amane AKA Sarah Amane is already causing a huge buzz on the nation’s interwebs, mainly because her porn debut was filmed in Jakarta.
One Indonesian Facebook user shared this discovery a couple of days ago, showing screenshots from the film that confirmed Jakarta to be the film’s setting.

The post quickly went viral and the news got picked up by popular Indonesian web forum Kaskus and even covered by mainstream media outlets like Liputan 6.

Now, full disclaimer: We have not seen the film because porn is illegal in Indonesia, y’all. Therefore, we sought the help of our internationally-based resident porn researcher, who managed to get a hold of the trailer for the soon-to-be-released film.
The trailer does not hide the fact that the film was shot in the Indonesian capital, as its opening title reads, “Get spin off in Jakarta”. The actress can then be seen arriving at the Soekarno-Hatta International Airport before she tours the capital’s tourism hotspots like the Kota Tua (Old Town) district by foot and on the bajaj.
West Jakarta’s Taman Anggrek mall also made the trailer, and Sailor Amane can be seen visiting a theater belonging to a famous Indonesian-Japanese girl band (they blurred out the theater’s sign, but we all know who the band is).
After that the tourism part of the video ends and the adult part begins. It’s not clear if those scenes were shot in Jakarta or not, as they were all filmed indoors, but, considering the continuity of the clothes worn throughout the trailer, it seems possible.
If that were the case, then Amane and the film producers were technically committing a crime. According to Indonesia’s anti-pornography law, filming and spreading pornography may be punishable by up to 12 years in prison.
That said, Indonesia and Japan do not have an extradition treaty, so, provided the people behind the porno have already left Indonesia, they should be safe from criminal punishment.
In the meantime, Sailor Amane is likely see her popularity skyrocket in Indonesia.
