Bali Under Water: The craziest images and video we could find of flooding on the island this week

Lately, it’s been raining hard in Bali. A LOT.

We’re now literally neck-deep into the peak of rainy season, and we’ve got our yearly natural flooding phenomenon to prove it as the streets have turned into rivers and waterfalls have formed in surprising places.

As with every year, we’re reminded that Bali’s drainage system leaves something to be desired as rubbish washing up clogs street drains and roads, in turn, become swimmable.

And so, the internet’s been (pardon the pun) flooded with crazy pictures and videos of Bali’s rivers overflowing, motorbikes and cars being drowned, search and rescue paddling rafts down the road to evacuate local residents, as well as a guy casually rowing down the street on his stand up paddle board.

While these images sure are captivating, let’s not forget how dangerous this much water can be and how destructive the flooding is as it’s been damaging people’s homes. Stay safe out there, everyone, especially around Jl. Dewi Sri in Legian!

Here are some of the wildest photos and video we’ve come across so far:

Parking lot turned fish tank

SUP, the easiest way to get around right now

Ingenuity in action. Using a pool floatie to transport luggage down the river, errr, street

Play til the end. A woman casually watches TV as her house fills up with water

Police put up a roadblock for anyone careless enough to drive on this road right now

People tread carefully down the road

Mayhem on Jl. Nakula in Legian today

Legian again with a drone shot of Jl. Nakula

Legian was so bad that Search and Rescue sent in teams on rafts to evacuate residents

And even Labuan Sait (Padnag Padang) was affected

About last night, what caused all this flooding
