Shortly after a Bali police officer was arrested under accusation of smuggling drugs in to a prisoner, another officer of the law is now in trouble for alleged drug use.

KS, 42, who holds a brigadier rank, was raided by Karangasem Police’s Narcotics Investigation Unit on Thursday night.

Karangasem Police Commissioner Anak Agung Mudita explained that the raid was based on a tip from the public. Local residents had reported suspicious activity in a rented house that had been used by police.

“After we received that information, several officers went down to conduct reconnaissance and raid KS,” Mudita said, as quoted by Merdeka.

During the raid, KS along with two other people were found, apparently high, according to police.

“Their faces were pale and they were still under the influence of drugs,” Mudita added.

Police found a bong hidden in a pile of dirty clothes and glass tubing, which allegedly contained crystal meth, ready for use.

In another room of the house where a friend of KS was staying, police say they also found more meth.

“From the results of a urine test of KS and his accomplices, they all tested positive for drug use,” Mudita said.

Police say they are deepening the investigation and that KS is certainly under threat of dishonorable discharge.
