A job just opened up as Bali’s highest ranking police official.
The chief of Bali Police Ronny Sompie has been promoted in a way—he was just elected as the Director General of Indonesian Immigration for the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights, reports Detik.
The two-star general actually didn’t spend too much time here: Sompie had just assumed his position at the top of the Bali Police food chain earlier this March.
“It was well received, just waiting for the decree,” said National Police Chief Badrodin Haiti at police headquarters on Friday.
Haiti added that they could not yet give a name for Bali’s new police chief.
Sompie has previously stated a desire to plunge into immigration due to personal desires, according to Detik.
