A Balinese politician who is currently being hunted by police for alleged drug dealing, has three wives and all are accused of being drug users.

Bali Regional Legislative Council (DPRD) politician Jero Komang Gede Swastika, alias Mang Jangol has been on the run since Nov. 4, when police raided his Denpasar home, finding quite the assortment of drugs and weapons. Jangol locked himself in his room and escaped out the window, evading arrest.

He’s be on the run ever since and was subsequently “dismissed” from his party, Gerindra, as Bali DPRD vice chairman. Gerindra announced that they kicked him out on Wednesday following the drug allegations/manhunt.

It’s now come out that Jangol has three wives, who police allege are all drug users.

Though not exceedingly common amongst younger generations, polygamy is legal in Indonesia and is practiced by some Balinese.

Jangol’s first wife, Ni Luh Ratna Dewi, was arrested at their family home on Nov. 7.

Since being questioned, Dewi has claims to have used methamphetamine with her husband.

“She knew of meth from Mang Jangol. She claimed to have used meth with him,” Denpasar Police Chief Hadi Purnomo said on Thursday, as quoted by BeritaSatu.

“For the second and third wives, both are also users and will be rehabilitated for using meth,” Purnomo said.

The hunt for Jangol continues, though police believe he has not yet left Bali.
