Bali tourist visits are booming. Numbers of foreign tourist arrivals have significantly gone up this year, compared to last year.
From January to August 2016, 3.19 million foreign tourists touched down in Bali, compared to 2.6 million during the same period in 2015.
This year, 3.15 million of those foreign arrivals came through Bali’s Ngurah Rai Airport, while some 40,000 came via sea, head of the Bali division of the Central Statistics Agency, Adi Nugroho told Antara Bali on Monday.
The Bali Provincial Tourism Office is targeting 4.2 million foreign arrivals this year, so Bali’s still got a bit of a ways to go to unlock their goal—but it seems like they will with the Christmas and New Year rush still ahead of us.
In 2015, for the entire calendar year, there ended being 4.001 million foreign arrivals.
Among the ten countries supplying the most tourists to Bali are Australia, China, Japan, UK, India, France, USA, South Korea, Germany, and Malaysia, according to Nugroho.
