While Irene had to fly to Bali, her bandmates — Seulgi, Wendy, Joy, and Yeri — had left for South Korea. Several fans who were lucky enough to meet Irene took to Twitter to post photos and videos of her arrival at the Ngurah Rai Airport.
Casually dressed in a yellow jacket and white flip-flops, Irene gave her sign to the waiting fans and waved to them, as seen in the video below.
Irene was presumably in Bali for a shoot, as she was spotted on a beach and a local Transmart supermarket several hours later. She appeared to have taken off her yellow jacket, wearing only her striped cropped top and denim shorts with a lifejacket.
The uploader of the video, which was originally posted as a story on Instagram, wrote that she didn’t know who Irene was as they asked “Does anyone know who this Korean celebrity or YouTuber is?”
After the shoot at the beach, Irene moved indoors, reportedly to Trans Studio Mall Bali in Denpasar. As seen in the videos below, she filmed scenes of her shopping at the supermarket and department store.
“Irene [filmed] a shopping content in Bali. My niece was so happy omg, Irene even took a glance [of her],” the tweet reads.
It’s not yet known if Irene, whose real name is Bae Joohyun, was on the island for a commercial shoot or her own vlog. She previously visited Bali in 2018 for a holiday with her family.
