9 Bikini Takeover

Agung Prabowo from The Old Man in Hong Kong—ranked #5 on Asia’s Best Bars 2018 list—will be mixing concoctions in Seminyak, facing off with Bikini’s resident mixologist Arey Barker for what can only be an epic night of innovative, crafty cocktails. Come thirsty, friends.

10-11 Eating Espresso at LocaLAB

“Hidden” above Nusantara restaurant in Ubud is Locavore’s lab where some serious food research and development goes on. They also host the occasional 12-person interactive multi-course dinner. This month LocaLAB will be teaming up with Hungry Bird Coffee Roasters to present a full evening of dishes incorporating coffee, which will explore every part of the coffee plant, bean processing, and even waste materials (IDR750k++). Get hyped. (They’re running the event for two nights, those interested need to fill out a form and apply beforehand.)

23 Dinner Series with James Viles at the Ungasan

The Ungasan, you know the stunning clifftop venue in Bukit, will be hosting a dinner series with Australian restauranteur James Viles of the two-hatted Biota (that’s a good score on Australia’s Good Food system). Limited to 30 guests, the dinner (IDR1 million++) will be built around Bali’’s flavors and landscape and there’s also the option to do a wine pairing menu (IDR600k++).

Music lovers, jazz enthusiasts flock to Bali’s booming jungle town for the Ubud Village Jazz Festival. An international festival with a strong community vibe.

12 Sunny Side Up Halsey (CANCELLED)

“Bad at Love” but good at lighting it up, Halsey is headlining the second day of the Sunny Side Up Festival at Potato Head, which we’re sure will be turnt. Rac, Marian HIll, and Indonesian up and comer Niki are some of the other acts taking the stage.

17 Satin Jackets at the new Manarai Beach House

Celebrating the launch of the Manarai Beach House, a new beachfront lifestyle concept in Nusa Dua, German music producer Tim Bernhardt’s Satin Jackets will be getting the party going in a live session.

Tropical Miami Vice Pool Party at La Brisa

Themed events are just so much cooler in Bali when they’re pool parties. It’s all about Miami Vice at the photogenic La Brisa in Canggu. Take a dip, sip on a cocktail, and dance.

5 Ku De Ta Day Party: Forbidden Fruit

Have we mentioned how we love how socially acceptable day drinking is in Bali, especially at beach clubs? Dive into a fruity, hedonistic pool party extravaganza at Bali’s OG beach club Ku De Ta. 18 Finns Beach Club VIP Exclusive Grand Opening

Finns is opening up their VIP section and hosting an exclusive party—because they wouldn’t do it any other way, would they? Free flow beverage and canapés with special guest artist Natalie Gillespie. It doesn’t come cheap though (IDR2 million or IDR1.6 million for Finns Bali Platinum and Gold members).

2-5 Buleleng Festival

The BulFest is a chance to see a different side of Bali in the island’s northernmost regency, Buleleng. A healthy does of Balinese art, performances, and food.

22-26 Sanur Village Festival

You don’t have to go all the way to Buleleng this month to gain deep insight into Balinese culture. The Sanur Village Festival will be exploring the theme of Mandala Giri, refocusing attention to Mount Agung and what that this volcano’s increased activity means on a spiritual level. Events will include music and cultural performances, sporting activities like futsal, gold, and yoga, a food bazaar, and more.

24-26 Tirta Gangga Festival

The Karangasem water palace Tirta Gangga is more than just a stop on the Instagram blogger’s tour. It’s also simply a beautiful place with a rich heritage to bask in Balinese festivities at.
