Appreciate Balinese culture and head to Denpasar for the 40th annual Bali Art Festival which will be full of performances, exhibitions, and more. If you can’t catch it this weekend, don’t worry it’s a full month-long festival!

Bikini Bar Takeover with Imammudin Azzai
Cocktail lovers, go for a tipple at Bikini where special guest and award-winning mixologist Imammudin Azzai will be taking over and stirring up drinks using local ingredients influenced by the ancient local drinking culture, along with resident mixologist Arey Baker.

NUSA DUA: Experience Bali’s city of lights
Catch Bali’s biggest lantern festival before it ends. The quiet area of Nusa Dua has come alive with all of the lights for the festival. We’re talking strings, upon strings. If anything, you gotta visit for the ’gram.

UBUD: Get in touch with Balinese village life
For its second anniversary, Desa Visesa is going all out with Melali ke Desa, or Walk in the Village, a one-day festival with an eco-green fun walk and market, complete with games and performances. You can also experience daily village life activities like plowing, animal feeding, work on an organic plantation, handicraft making, Balinese dance, and gamelan. Certainly an event fit for the family. Tickets needed for the walk.
When: Sunday, July 1, 5:30am-7pm (walk starts at 5:30am; festival opens at 9am)

BUKIT: Open up the Rip Curl Cup Padang Padang

Get ready to open up the Rip Curl Cup contest period this weekend. While the surf is only on when it’s on, the opening ceremony will be Sunday, where you can meet the surfers and check outa traditional Balinese kecak dance.
