Motel Mexicola, known for its distinctive Day of the Dead observances, is bringing this Mexican tradition to its recently established Canggu outpost. Situated in Batu Bolong, the venue is poised for an unconventional celebration on Oct. 31 (yes, that’s tonight).
Commencing at 6pm and culminating at 1am, the event will feature curated set menus and bespoke drinks packages, ensuring a distinct experience. The entertainment lineup includes a roster of DJs, providing uninterrupted musical accompaniment, along with complimentary face painting for attendees.
For patrons seeking a gastronomic indulgence, the 6-course set menu is on offer at IDR275,000 (US$17.33) per person. Advance reservations are advised, with final seating available at 8:30pm.
In addition, the cantina booths offer exclusive drink-only reservations starting from 8pm onwards. A minimum expenditure of IDR5 million (US$315) per table applies, encompassing both beverages and snacks. A 50 percent non-refundable deposit is mandatory for all bookings.
For those desiring to partake in the festivities without a formal dinner, walk-ins are accommodated from 10pm onwards. The entry fee stands at IDR150,000 (US$9.45) per person, inclusive of a complimentary drink.
Motel Mexicola Canggu was launched in August 2023 following the popularity of the OG chain in Seminyak. The latter had been known to bring Day of the Dead festivities to Bali, and now the Canggu chain is also pledging an evening steeped in Mexican tradition that will leave an indelible mark.
