Bali is buzzing about Ubud Food Festival. Almost 100 chefs, restaurateurs, farmers, social entrepreneurs, and outstanding innovators will converge in Bali this April 13-15, 2018, for the fourth Ubud Food Festival Presented by ABC (UFF).
UFF will plate up pioneering culinary insights and ideas and fearless flavors, all energized by the theme ‘Generasi Inovasi’.
This year’s theme is inspired by the young, tech-savvy population of Indonesia, which is driving the nation’s booming innovation economy and transforming our food industry.
The three-day program spans a range of ticketed and free events, from cooking demonstrations, special events, workshops and food tours, to markets, film screenings, live music and in-depth forum discussions. Special events will take at various locations across Ubud.
The special event featuring a collaboration between Indonesian-born Rydo Anton, Head Chef of Gaggan in Bangkok, and Ubud’s hometown heroes Locavore is sadly sold out, but there are tons more to choose from. On April 13, Felix Schoener and Fido Nuswatama Rahadian of Locavore’s LocaLAB, and Asli Food Project’s Crystal Chiu, are putting on an intimate 7-course dinner for just 12 people featuring rare and unusual Indonesian ingredients. On April 14, Ubud’s Nusantara by Locavore and Jakarta’s NUSA Indonesian Gastronomy will celebrate Indonesia’s rich culinary heritage with an array of refined traditional dishes.
