It was a beautiful day in Bali on Wednesday, as the Balinese celebrated Galungan, their most important feast.
Penjor, the long bamboo poles decorated in coconuts leaves, popped up all over the island as Hindu Balinese honored their ancestors and gave thanks to their creator.
Here’s a selection of some of our favorite photos on Instagram from the very photogenic holiday honoring the triumph of good (Dharma) over evil (Adharma).
Getting all set up.
Motorcycle made ready.
Offerings in tow.
Temple time.
Leaving out offerings.
Of course there were some selfies too.
And don’t forget about all the penjor.
And more penjor.
Selamat hari raya Galungan & Kuningan from this cutie.
