UPDATE: Energy drink bottles found at airport not explosive

At 3pm today, the Myanmar State Counsellor Office reported that after closer examination, the yellow liquid in four M150 energy drink bottles discovered this morning at the Yangon International Airport was just a type of traditional medicine. The bottles were not explosives.

The Office of the Commander-in-Chief of Defense Services had previously reported that the bottles were ‘unexploded bombs’.

M150 containers were used to make explosive devices in three other incidents earlier this month. Three people have been arrested in connection with those incidents.
