Hsipaw Police are on the hunt for a man who hurled a hand grenade at their station before making a getaway on his motorcycle.

Police Chief Myint Win of the Hsipaw Police Station confirmed to Mizzima that the attack took place yesterday morning shortly after 4 am. A grenade was thrown into the compound, and landed on the lawn between the fence and the actual station building. The grenade went off, but thankfully no one was hurt.

Chief Myint Win also stated that this was the first time an attack like this had taken place at the station.

Police are still trying to track down the identity of the culprit.
