Police have arrested a man who they believe helped steal an entire house.

You heard that right. On March 17, at least two people took apart an entire house in Ward 25, South Dagon Township, and hauled it off in their car.

Police are now investigating a man named Nyan Tun, who is also known as Kalapu.

The theft may have been related to an ownership dispute. Police officer Maung Maung Oo told Eleven that the home had recently been bought by a man named Han Win Aung from Thanlyin, but the person who sold the home may not have been the true owner.

“He bought the house for K1 million, but the actual price of the house was K5 million. We are now investigating the case, and we know that Nyan Tun had at least one accomplice,” said the police officer.

Charges have been filed against Nyan Tun by the South Dagon Township police station.
