Parts of Myanmar have taken a battering in recent weeks as heavy rain sweeps the country during monsoon season.
But, with hundreds of thousands already displaced from their homes due to floods, the deluge is set to get even worse, according to government forecasters.
The Meteorology and Hydrology department has warned of further potential flooding in eight regions as rivers swell across the country, 7Day reports.
The Nga Wun River, in the Irrawaddy Delta region, has swollen by two feet, and more heavy rain is on the way, according to department deputy general director Kyaw Moe Oo.
Flooding is also expected in Rakhine, Karen and Mon states, as well as Bago and Taninthiri regions.
At least eight people have died and more than 430,000 have relocated from their homes due to flooding in the northern and central parts of the country.
