A 30-year-old man has been arrested after allegedly sexually assaulting a maid while she was alone in her employer’s home in FMI City on Tuesday, then robbing jewelry and cash worth more than $16,000.
Reports differed on the details but the state-run Global New Light of Myanmar said she was threatened at gunpoint.
Hlaing Tharyar police told 7Day News Journal that the suspect, named as Thet U Zaw, took four necklaces, three bracelets, six pairs of earrings, six rings and six lockets.
